| Drinking water is considered the water we consume via the act of drinking. The health benefits of drinking water are now widely recognized and the role of drinking water in a healthy lifestyle has never been more apparent. Our body demands hydration, or consumption of enough drinking water, in order to perform optimally. In fact, because our body is made of more than 75% water, we would perish without intaking adequate amounts of drinking water. When you deprive your body of water, it reacts in the same manner as when you deprive it of food…it holds onto what it already has in store instead of eliminating it.
